Each division runs on its own. Eight teams max, four teams minimum, and it goes on no matter what. Both players register.

Self-rated 3.0. DUPR under 3.5, or newer to tournament play.

How it runs

Pool play

Two pools of four. Every team plays three games. Games to 11 with a 12-minute cap: when time is called, finish the rally, higher score wins.

Semis

Pool winners cross over against the other pool's runner-up. One game to 11, win by 2.

The final

Champions Court, Court 7. One game to 15, win by 2. Mic on, crowd on the rail, medals on the line.

Play for something bigger

The Centereach Fall Open is the tournament inside Pickle for a Purpose, a one-day event at The Picklr benefiting Connect Church. Every entry helps send 21 volunteers to Ecuador this November to build a Bible school.

Your $40 covers your tournament entry and your event ticket, so come early, stay late, and bring people. Spectators get in for $25 online through Friday, $30 at the door.

Check in at the front desk 15 minutes before your division. Late teams get slotted in, the clock doesn't wait.
Tournament courts are 8 to 11. Finals on Court 7, Champions Court.
Free parking in the mall lot. Eleven indoor courts, so weather is not a factor.
Bring cash. The basket auction, 50/50 and pickle pull are cash only.

Good to know

Do I need a partner?

No. Sign up solo and we pair you with another solo at your level. If you have a partner, both of you register and put each other's name in the note at checkout.

What does $40 get me?

Your tournament entry plus all-day admission to Pickle for a Purpose. You do not need a separate event ticket.

What if my division has fewer than eight teams?

It runs. Four teams minimum, and you still get three pool games and a final. Divisions are never combined.

Which division am I?

3.0 if your DUPR is under 3.5 or you are newer to tournament play. 3.5 if you are 3.5 to 3.99. Placement is the director's call, and we may move a team to keep the divisions fair.

Can I play both divisions?

Yes, if you qualify for both. They run back to back, so you would play 3.0 at 1:15 and 3.5 at 3:00. Register for each.

Can friends and family come watch?

Please. Spectator tickets are $25 online through Friday and $30 at the door at pickleforapurpose.charity. There is open play, food, lessons and a basket auction all afternoon.

Refunds?

No refunds. All entries are final.

Either way, get in before Friday at 9 PM. When a division hits eight teams, it's closed.
